An Indiana company that made bed foam for hospitals has filed for bankruptcy.
The maker of bed foam pads for hospitals, MBS Healthcare, said Thursday it is in talks with bankruptcy court to close its doors.
The company said it would cut its workforce and sell assets.
The company had $50 million in revenue in 2016.
It was acquired by an unnamed investor in July, and MBS said it had no plans to keep the business going after that acquisition.
The court filings also said MBS plans to pay $2.5 million in cash to the company’s creditors.MBS is part of the U.S. Medical Systems Association, which owns hospitals.
